Earnings power to Social Empowerment....

The rise of True earnings power, that is free cash flow, that an organisation can utilise is one of the REAL Prizes/rewards of Entrepreneurialism and Business. The leaders can and should consider investing in:
Community Level:
1/ Social causes for the rise of the bottom bar of social economic group, like a rising bandwidth,
2/ Education for the next generation exceeding the average education level. There is a direct correlation to the level of education of a country and economic, social and health level.
3/ Business development (Research and Development) for new and old tech DIG (development, Improvement and Growth),
4/ Set up a "Mind Bank" partnership with Government and Business Leaders, so the Social-Political-Business Interactive System is healthier, and more productive.
Business Level:
1/ Set up a internal "NFP" business unit, that is NOT linked to their own industry in any way,
2/ Begin a Mentor program and Scholarships, again investing in the next generation. So they understand the right balance and integration of the endless Philosophical pendulum swing of liberal and conservative Ideologies (naturally both are required for balance)!,
3/ Help channels both vertical and horizontal, and become channel partners (e.g. buy in equity and send in there best people to assist and learn). So they grow faster, thus the industry develops faster,
4/ Set up an "Internal Endowment fund", which is one of the TRUE "Long Game Strategies", e.g. Yale and Harvard Endowment funds.
As you can see the list is endless for clever, smart and long term investing of your and FOR your companies "FREE CASH flow", AND , for the betterment of the business-social-government interactive system and landscape.
And, it would behoove, the organisation to ensure they continue to renew this interactive system.
When I lecture at university on "Business in Society", the light bulb moment happens quite quick when they view it (Top Down) as a ongoing interactive dynamic system.
Thus, you, the current leaders, can assist future Entrepreneurs-Business Leaders enter the landscape that is set up healthy for them to:
1/ Strive,
2/ Drive,
3/ Thrive.......for the then next generation.
