AI the Digital God for business?...why? and How..Part 1

With AI, like the computer in the 70's, the internet of the 80's, the hand phone in the 90's, App development in the 2000's, it is here to stay. Like our ancestors, Fire was a tool for good or bad, and, thus money-resources, technology is a tool for empowerment or destruction.


AI, and its utility as a tool for business will depend on the user, and creators. Development pace with any technology can be very fast with no safe guards, and human nature to "WIN at any cost", with either power, money, politics and influence (ethics, standard protocols, values and morals will be key). This can and is most probably will be a wholesale change for your business,


I was lecturing at university when AI hit Universities on MASS the education system worldwide, and read the papers (including the governments) on how ONE very large industry combat "students" utilising AI, and having to give them very strict boundaries. If I got a "sniff" of AI cheating, I used a formula table (it took me awhile to develop my own over coffee and cake at my local cafe where I marked papers on "Marketing", "Entrepreneurship" and "Business in Society"), and was a tough marker.


The irony, I used multiple cross referencing AI tools both provided by the university and my own to ensure accuracy!


Lets begin (if you haven't already introduced AI) with your organisation, business or company. Firstly, the principle first to market has what is known strategically "First mover Advantage". In my first company (an investment advisory firm), in the year 2000 we we went through 1999 new year change over. And, it was a very exciting time, and fears were around of the mass "COMPUTER Crash" (It didn't happen).


In our January annual review (first and second week), we decided to make the business "Paperless". At the time, it was unheard of (Google was only 2 years old)! And, by 2002 we were 90%+ paperless (unheard of at the time, it put us in front of the curve by at least 5 years!) and instructed the software coders/engineers of our CMS (client management system) to write the code for it which was again "Beyond the Tip of the spear" , i.e. clients instructing product developers what we need for future proofing.


We promoted this to new clients who sat down with us for the first time. Creating further differentiation in the client’s eyes (our market, improving our brand), AND, the business leaped forward in productivity gains.


This, ALSO, positioned us uniquely in the market and created more client flow via referrals due to our ever-increasing differentiation. That is, we were future proofing, trending and creating innovative value.

Simplified AI introduction, application, integration, synergy and synthesis:


First: Have your business, strategic, marketing, sales and Leadership/Culture Plan on point (up to date with your long term vision), and MODERNISED! (these can be just 1 page each, ).


Second: Choose a section of market, industry, operations (data analytics, analysis,) sales team analysis, retail turnover etc, where it will yield "quick and easy results", that is simple objectives FIRST with simple strategies and solutions (otherwise you will start, and it could be along time for "YIELD", like in my first company above 18 months+ before substantial productivity gains).


And at the same time do research on your industry who is doing "what and how," for your industry and market, but we suggest you keep it to yourself! You want to be in the 90th percentile for your market and industry!


Third: You will start to build a "knowledge bank" of in House patterns (for your market, business, AND, just importantly for your industry (<HINT>). Also, and Key People with AI expertise (skills, knowledge, experience) from the ground up.
