The process of Entrepreneurialism , that is:
Brand power to Market power to Earnings power to Social empowerment requires considerable expertise (skill, knowledge, experience), focus to begin, maintain and continuing to keep "In front of the curve". Or, being 80th+ percentile (across business or organisation elements and aspects).
The interconnectedness and synergy of Brand Equity and Brand Power requires some serious upfront effort and thinking (see our process for our clients here: https://www.starbusinessconsulting.net/services).
Brand Power (and its utility) is about influence, suggestiveness, dominance (good and bad), a catalyst for change and fundamentally instant (and internal) recognition by color, image, slogan or sound etc....
Thus Perceptual interpretation and the internal depth to your clients and customers "Hearts and Minds" (connectivity), that can in a moment change the state of your customers for Outcomes ( e.g. drive sales, interactions and so on).
How are you going to build your Brand Power (or go even further)?.. Some Ideas to get you started!...
Create a simple quadrant box (Titled My Business Brand Power), with internal, external and perceptual and demonstrative (concrete) as the four box titles, elements and aspects....the jot down 3 pertinent points within each.
You now have 12 points, with greater understanding and awareness of your market, industry and business, with new thought sparks leading from each other!.....(However you should be referencing your end objectives as well!)...This should take only 5 minutes!
Brand Equity is similar and some over lap with brand power, that is perceptual bias to your brand and its EXPECTATION of the experience (e.g., our Posts, you have an expectation of high quality information with various depth insights that are intellectually interesting and highly functional).
What is the Value your bringing to the market and how your business/organisation is a interactive system to the market! This equity value can be measured by its power (as above), AND, loyalty, moat building and strength, consistency of earnings in downward markets (ie, your industry declines 10% but your stable !), and your market share!.....
A key consulting question we always ask:
"Can (and how) you keep expanding without dilution of Brand Power and Equity?..."
Strategic (and Tactical) Marketing makes its entrance here, and thinking again, about quality, consistency and Kaizen applications with Blue Ocean Strategies and Best Practice Standards, with out dilution.....
A very good example here, is the growth of internet providers 20+ years ago, then as the "Race to the Bottom" was over 70% completed, they decided to utilise multiple tier Brand strategies (as the product was a commodity), "Out Service, Out Experience, New Bundling, Omni-Channel's and Strategic Partnerships Alliances with Allegiances (From our our last Post, "Build,Borrow, Buy!").
Now many are cross servicing....
